Why Partner With Maven

Why partner with Maven? Here are some of the top reasons:

Access to a wide customer base – While many companies sell to either domestic OR overseas customers, Maven does BOTH. We have a sales teams dedicated to bidding to Government agencies, major military subcontractors and international customers.

Marketing/Trade Shows – Our sales staff constantly travel to promote the products of the companies we represent. We visit customers (purchasing people, as well as those in the field) and we exhibit at several trade shows worldwide. We put forth the effort so that our suppliers can focus on what they do best – manufacturing quality parts.

Mitigate commercial risk – Maven is not just a “middleman”. We assume full commercial risk for all transactions by taking title of the products. This protects both the buyer and the seller, who have the added assurance of an independent third party handling the transaction to ensure that all parties are satisfied.

Mitigate financial risk – Maven ensures our partners are paid on time, regardless of when we get paid. This is especially important in international transactions, where managing credit risk can be challenging. We also handle the opening of bid and performance bonds.

Consolidation of shipments – Working with Maven allows our customers to consolidate their international shipments in our warehouse, thereby reducing their shipping and customs clearance costs.

Export and import licensing – Maven is registered with the U.S. State Department under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and we handle the application process for obtaining export licenses. We are also registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BAFT), which allows us to apply for licenses to import or export munition products.

Government inspections – The U.S. Government (Defense Contract Management Agency) has stationed two inspectors at our facility in Rockville, Maryland which allows us to get orders inspected and shipped with a very short turnaround time. We are also approved for Alternate Release Procedures (ARP) at both our US locations.

Quality – Maven is AS9100 and ISO9001 certified. This provides additional assurance to our customers that all parts coming through our facility are checked thoroughly before they are shipped.

Set-aside requirements – Maven is a small, woman-owned, minority-owned business, which allows us to qualify for many set-aside bids issued by the U.S. Government and their prime contractors.
